Plate Mill

Plate mills handle very large and relatively thick flat steel plates. Accurate temperature measurements across the entire width of the plate are essential because the great width presents an opportunity for temperature variations to develop across the plate. If temperature variations exist, the rolling quality will be affected by dissimilar grain sizes or thickness effects.

A Plate Mill rolls preheated slabs to produce steel plates with thicknesses from several millimeters to several hundred millimeters.

With our proven experience in supplying plate mill rolls from more than a decade, our Plate Mill Rolls are proven and well-established product.

We can customize our product grade with respect to the actual requirements and provide a variety of different roll grades ranging from conventional ICDP to sophisticated chrome iron, Special Duplex Iron etc.. We also produce smaller rolls for use in light plate mills, as well as very large and heavy rolls for use in ultra-heavy plate mills, including 5 mtr plate mills.
